Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.

The quote that is in this title is from Saint Francis of Assisi and i think it is perfect for this program!

Anyhow, on to the reason for this post.

Houston, we have automation! So i started this year off with a plan. A real plan with a business case and statistics and reasoning. the kinds of stuff that is irrefutable and must be acknowledged. This as it turns out actually worked! And i now have the budget that i asked for!  And now i have more to do every day than i ever wanted. This is a good thing. However, I am learning how to multi task at a whole other level. The projects that i am undertaking (all at once mind you) are to build a new website for my product, re-create all of our marketing materials for print and digital distribution, make a new product demonstration video, and implement a lead nurturing and marketing automation product.

The one that was the easiest to start using was the marketing automation project however, this one has the potential to take the longest to implement as it is like learning a trade, you can be knoledgeable about the subject in a few weeks but to master it takes a lifetime.

Drip marketing and lead nurturing are buzz words for automating the information gathering process for your customers. The idea is to make it so that the process becomes a highly customized, and personal experience that is enjoyable. However, I also can build a process that is guided to allow the marketer (me) to direct the discovery process of my customers.

How powerful is that! I get the ability to tell my customer what to know about my product! I can decide when they know enough to learn another layer. No more confused customers trying to figure out why they need my product. I get to teach them ECR Vault in the same way you teach a kid math (Build on top of the previous concept)

Try doing that with your mail merge.

More to come…
